Hearing Charities in partnership with Sertoma provides for two distinct scholarships. These scholarships represent the largest program of its kind in the nation. Scholarships are a great investment in the future for students working to achieve their goals.

Communicative Disorders Scholarships
This $1,000-per-school-year award is for graduate students who are currently accepted into a speech-language-pathology or audiology program accredited by ASHA’s Council on Academic Accreditation. The funds may be used for any term, including the summer term, during the awarded academic school year. The student must be a citizen of the United States and the college or university located in the United States. Applicants must have a 3.2 GPA on an un-weighted 4.0 scale for all undergraduate and graduate course work. The number of scholarships is determined by total giving to the Annual Campaign the previous year – the goal is at least 30 per year.  http://www.sertoma.org/scholarships 

Scholarships for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
This $1,000 scholarship is for students with a minimum of 40dB bilateral hearing loss. Students must hold a 3.2 GPA on an un-weighted 4.0 scale and be accepted at or attending an accredited college or university in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The student must be a citizen of the United States and must be attending a college located in the United States. Approximately 30 scholarships are awarded per year. The number of scholarships is determined by total giving to the Annual Campaign the previous year.
